When compared to other tablets operating on iOS or Android, this Windows 8.1 Pro tablet is not limited to just apps and can use software programs such as productive suites with all features, full list of tools in image-editing programs, and more. To help run Windows and other software smoothly, this tablet is equipped with a 1.6 GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor boostable up to 2.39 GHz as well as 4GB of RAM. The HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Tablet is built with 64GB of storage space to hold your images, music, and files. When addition digital storage space is need, this tablet has a microSDXC slot that can support cards up to 2TB. For connecting to other peripherals and devices, the HP tablet provides a system connector that you can use an optional docking station or expansion jacket to offer USB 3.0 and video ports. You can take 8MP photos using the back camera or utilize the front 1080p HD camera, dual speakers, and microphones to keep in touch with others via video calls. For connectivity, this tablet features 802.11a/b/g/n for connecting to the Internet so you can check and send emails, browse the web, and more. Additionally, it is built with Bluetooth 4.0 for expanded device connectivity with Bluetooth speakers or other peripherals.

Quad-Core Intel Atom Z3795 Processor
This tablet features a quad-core 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z3795 processor with 2MB of L2 cache. With its burst frequency, the maximum clock rate this processor can achieve is 2.39 GHz. Having four cores also allows the tablet to run multiple programs at the same time without slowing down the computer.

Windows 8.1 is designed for ease-of-use and intuitive navigation. You can customize the Start screen, and get instant access to contacts, apps, websites, and more. Browse the Windows Store and download apps that help you work more efficiently. Some apps work together so you can share things like photos, maps, contacts, and links. Whether you are completing a project, playing a game, or reading a book, with Windows 8.1, you can use touch, an optional stylus, and an optional keyboard seamlessly. Windows 8.1 starts quickly and is cloud-connected so you can access your photos, documents, and settings on almost any Internet-connected Windows 8.1 PC.
10.1" Full HD Multi-Touch Screen
View images, video, documents, and more in 1080p detail on the wide-viewing angle display. Designed to work both indoors and out, the glossy touchscreen features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and impact as well as an anti-smudge coating to keep your screen fingerprint free. The wide 16:10 aspect ratio display uses a multi-touch capacitive digitizer to respond to typing, pointing, and gestures. When you want a more precise input, HP offers an optional digitizer pen that lets you create finer details in drawings or sketches.
Full HD Cameras
Videoconference in full high definition with the tablet's 2.1 MP front-facing camera or snap pictures of the world around you with the 8MP rear-facing camera. The front camera is located just above the display in the center, under the digital microphone and to the left of the status indicator light that tells you when the camera is in use. Both cameras record 1080p video, and the rear camera includes an LED flash for low light situations.
Wireless Connectivity
Network wirelessly with the ElitePad's 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connection and connect to peripherals like speakers, keyboards, headphones, printers, and more as well as other mobile devices via Bluetooth 4.0. Show presentations, share screens, watch live TV, and play movies with Miracast, which uses your Wi-Fi connection to mirror screens and deliver media content between enabled devices.
Audio
You can listen to audio through the integrated stereo speakers or via the combination stereo/headphone/microphone jack. Two integrated noise-cancelling and beamforming microphones capture clear sound when recording or videoconferencing. The ElitePad also supports DTS+ audio, which provides 5.1 channels of sound with minimal compression.
Up to 13 Hours of Battery Life
The 2-cell lithium-polymer battery is rated for up to 13 hours of usable life, enabling you to be productive on the go, even when far from a power outlet.
Security Suite
  • HP Client Security offers a selection of security solutions designed to protect your data at the BIOS, hardware, and software levels. Features include permanent file and drive erasure, encrypted and password protected hard drives, and bank-level password management.
  • HP Trust Circles allows you to work on sensitive files with team members by using encryption technology to make the data unreadable to all but the contacts you choose. This version lets you create five Trust Circles with up to five contacts in each Trust Circle.
  • Locate and lock your device, prevent unauthorized access, and remotely delete personal data with the included four-year license of Absolute Data Protect. Absolute Data Protect must be activated by customers. Service may be limited; check with Absolute for availability outside the United States.
  • HP BIOS Protection offers enhanced protection against virus attacks to the BIOS and other security threats and is designed to help prevent data loss and reduce downtime.
  • Prevent data from being copied to USB devices without permission using HP Device Access Manager with Just in Time Authentication.
