The green and black Crossfire 8x42 Roof Prism Binocular from Vortex combines fully multicoated optics, which deliver bright and clear images, with a durable and comfortable to hold body. With an 8x magnification and 42mm objectives, you obtain an optimal tradeoff between notable magnification, lower image jitter due to unsteady hands and light gathering capacity that delivers bright images. You can easily spot your targets with a wide 7.5° angular field of view and an enhanced depth of field and quickly bring them into focus with a center wheel. In addition to observing distant scenes, birds and game, the minimum focus of 7.5' allows you to study in detail close targets like animal footprints, marks or landscape features without moving away from your place. The binocular also features a 5.3 mm exit pupil, a 17 mm eye relief, and a 56-76 mm interpupillary adjustment range.

To offer durability and comfort, the Crossfire 8x42 has a smooth green and black Rubber Armor covering that provides external protection and a secure non-slip grip. The housing is o-ring sealed waterproof and nitrogen purged fogproof, which shield the binocular from a variety of weather conditions and effects of a rapidly changing temperature. To ensure a non-slip grip during focusing even while wearing gloves or in bad weather, the center focus knob is wide and knurled. The binocular is mountable on a tripod with an optional adapter and has rubber twist-up eyecaps. Also included are a rainguard, tethered lens covers, a neck strap and a soft carry case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bino's I compared these against some Nikons (at twice the price) at Cabela's and my eyes told me these were every bit as good. I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Affordable option! I bought these late last fall to finish out deer season. I needed a good pair of binos, but didn't have a lot of money. I've used Vortex's VIP warranty in the past when my Strikefire II went haywire and it was easy and hassle free. I wanted to have that same warranty with my binos, so I went with what I could afford. They are clear, durable, and get the job done. I'm not sure I'll ever need to purchase anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific binoculars for birding Superior quality, very good optics for birding. Have used them for closeup and distant birding under different lighting conditions and they performed well. Fairly light weight as well for their size and how well they are constructed. Price was very reasonable for what they can do and better than the competition. Received them on time with an excellent carry case. Highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bino for a budget hunter! I bought these this past fall and for the price point, these are excellent optics! Very crisp colors and object quality. Hunting whitetails in the Western New York is not an easy task when the leaves fall and their coats begin to change, these have helped me located more deer in the woods. For a hunter on a budget, these are a great set of binos that will help you get the job done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent clarity I bought these a month ago and have been using them everyday or two to spot animals and check equipment from a distance. They offer a very crisp view and very comfortable to look through for long periods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great budget binos I’ve had these binos for around 3 years now and they’ve been in the pouring rain and elements and they’ve never missed a beat. They’re very budget friendly and perform like optics twice their price.
