I bought this on impulse with an other item. I was skeptical that it would be useful or secure enough, or even that I would need it (lens cap always goes directly into my back pocket). I used it once and I'm very pleased. Not essential for me, but very, very useful. The keeper is secure on my strap and the cap is secure on the keeper. The StrapCap does what it claims, and does that well.
Using this on the Optech (Belgrade, MT company) strap, I find it better than a leash or stuffing in a pocket. The lens cap is thus displayed openly so it's easy to see that it's not on the lens, hidden by a hood. One side will carry a 52 or 67 mm cap, and a 58 mm cap opposite. If they make one to carry 62 mm (and other sizes), I'd buy one for the offside strap and I'd be in tall cotton! Photographing hot rods, classic cars, trucks, and people beside the nose of a classic airplane, people are helpful about staying out of the shooting area. The lens cap mounted on this holder looks like a badge on the strap. That's just my opinion... (Then again, I don't enjoy 'herding cats' either out of the shots or into the shots.) Great item at a great price; it's a beautiful thing!

Never lose a lens cap again!
I hate having my lens swing down in front of my camera when I'm looking down. This cap allows you to snap your cap out of the way on your camera strap. It does not, however, work on all straps, such as those with padded neck strap or thick length adjustment folds. It works great on a thin strap like the Nikon strap.
Great idea. Have yet to try it out but sure it will be better than my pockets.
