If you are looking for a VERY low profile 1/4 hinged D-ring for attaching low-profile rig (such as a thin strip of fabric as pictured), this product gets five stars. But if you are looking for a D-ring for use with something like a professional camera harness, you will ALSO need (something like) Ruggard's split D ring (or a split ring from your keychain in a pinch) to have enough room for any sort of swiveling snap hook on any camera harness to attach to this. The swiveling D ring on this fastener is simply not big enough to accommodate anything larger than a thin strip of fabric; or, as I said, it is useful for snap-hook purposes if you also add a spit D ring.
