Solidly built, pockets small

These bags are great in some ways and well built, but on this model, the outside pockets are a little too small to be usable for my purposes, and one of them is significantly impaired because of a plastic shield that goes from the inside to the outside of the bag. I really wish I could remove it because it's totally in the way and I have no use for it in the main compartment. I assume it's for a viewfinder on a broadcast camera, but it's a waste of space for me.

2 questions... will a Ursa broadcast camera fit ...

2 questions... will a Ursa broadcast camera fit fully assembled with the servo zoom lens handle and viewfinder etc. and does this bag qualify as a “Carry-On” bag?
Asked by: Randy
Sachtler recommends its Dr. Bag 5 for the Ursa Broadcast, but in any event, the Dr. 4 will not be considered "carry on" by most airlines, whose exterior dimension limits are as follows: (22 inches x 14 inches x 9 inches (including all handles and wheels).

Anyone have this bag for an FX6 with a shoulder mount? Does it fit the height? I know the internal dims quoted are 20cm but this seems low seeing the external dims are 38.5mm.
Asked by: Sean
While it will depend on both the size of your shoulder mount and how much room is left in the main compartment with everything else you have in it, as long as you remove (and put to the side of the camera) the top handle for the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera (Body Only) (B&H# SOFX6) you have a very good chance of not exceeding the internal height limit of the Sachtler Dr. Bag - 4 (B&H# SADRB4).

question

Can this fit a c300 mark II with top handle attached?
Asked by: walter
This bag does not provide enough clearance to have the top handle attached to the C300 Mark II I'm afraid. The Sachtler Dr. Bag 4 has an internal height of 10 inches while the C300 Mark II with the top handle and monitor attached will be 12 inches. Instead we suggest B&H #PORIG3SRK which is the Porta Brace RIG-3SRK and has an internal height of 13.5 inches. You also may consider removing the top handle when packing the C300 Mark II, it will not be that hard to take off and on the camera.

Has anyone used this with a Sony Venice One with R7?
Asked by: Mark
The Sony VENICE 6K Digital Motion Picture Camera, B&H # SOMPC36101, with the Sony AXS-R7 External 4K RAW Recorder for VENICE, PMW-F55 & F5, B&H # SOAXSR7, should fit in the Sachtler Dr. Bag - 4. However, this can vary based on the lens and any top-mounted accessories you're using as well.

question

can i use this bag as carry on luggage in the plane?
Asked by: Anonymous
My team travels extensively with this bag. It fits in MOST overhead bins and we've only been asked to check it on plans where the overhead is tiny (fits only briefcases - small Embraer and CJ planes). We have never been stopped at the gate and it does fit snugly in the sizer. NOTE: sometimes, the top handles have to be parted to fit into the overhead and in some configs, it has to be placed sideways because the bins are shallow (the front couple of bins on older 737).

question

Is this bags interior really only 7.9 inches tall when the smaller bags are 9+ or is that a typo?
Asked by: Reilly
If you look at the bag it is shorter on the sides the the center of the bag. The edges are 9 tall and the center is over 10 tall. Hope this helps.G. S.Newark, DE
