Take your video camera, laptop, and accessories on the road in comfort and style with the black Campack Plus Backpack from Sachtler. A zippered, padded, main compartment stores and protects your medium-sized, prosumer video camera and select accessories. The main compartment unzips on three sides for easier access. Padded, touch-fastening dividers make it easy to organize your gear. At the rear of the backpack is a zippered, padded compartment for an up to 17" laptop. Compartment interiors have a red lining for making locating items under low light easier.

The front of the Campack features 2, zippered pockets for storing small accessories. On the right side of the pack is a zippered, accessory pocket with a slip-in pocket on top for your cellphone or other small item. A stretchable, slip-in, side pocket on the left can hold a water bottle or compact umbrella. This pocket, in combination with the quick-release strap above it, may also be used for storing a small tripod.

The Campack has a grab handle on top, and a padded, adjustable shoulder harness with strap connectors for comfort and stability. A mesh back panel provides targeted cushioning, improves airflow, and helps wick away moisture. For additional comfort, there's a padded, adjustable waist belt with a quick-release buckle. Two exterior, zippered, pockets, one on each side of the waist belt are suitable for storing small accessories. Included with your Campack is a rain cover with a handy storage pouch.

Campack Plus Backpack (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built bag for travel I travel around the globe shooting documentaries, and the bags I check in need to be durable, strong and stand the test of time. I have been using this bag for around a year and have been impressed with how well made it is and the level of protection it offers to the equipment I store inside. One of the main things I look for is the quality of the zippers on a bag. The zippers are robust and I have yet to have one break. On the inside the bag is well padded and can be configured and changed depending on what you want to carry inside. There are lots of external pockets and it comes with a very comfortable shoulder strap system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A big bag, spacious and comfortable I've used this backpack both as a camera bag (with a C100 and lens kit) and as a more general 'stuff' sack on location. In both cases it has performed well: it's large enough that you can fit everything you need for a day's shooting on location, but comfortable enough to carry about thanks to generous padding. It's not a small bag, so possibly most useful for domestic jobs where you can drive or get a cab between locations: pretty sure you'd have to check it on most flights. Lots of handy pockets for odds and ends, and I've found the hidden laptop pocket very useful as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Backpack for Professionals Much of the photo/video backpacks out there fit into two categories: light hiking backpacks with protective features for gear, and urban messenger bags with dividers for small cameras and lenses. But what about professionals who want to safely carry large gear around town, but not necessarily on a safari excursion? This is where this bag shines. It's big enough to carry video cameras such as the Sony FS7 or Canon Cinema cameras, plus lenses and other accessories, along with a tripod, monopod, or light stands on the side. The dividers inside are customizable, and the bag opens up from the top, which allows you to set the bag down and access all of your gear conveniently. The bag has a semi-rigid shell all around for protection, and the padded backside and straps makes it a very comfortable carry for long periods of time. I've carried around an assembled C100 with 4-5 lenses, interview audio kit, an LED light (in the large front pocket) and a light stand, plus batteries and chargers and everything needed for an all-day documentary shoot. The only potential downside is that the semi-rigid shell makes this backpack firmly maintain its big size no matter what you put in it, so it could be overkill when you only need to carry small gear. But there are tons of other messenger-style bags for those days. For the times when you need to carry large gear around town, on your back rather in suitcases, the Campack is perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sachtler Campack Plus - a spacious and rugged backpack The first thing you notice with the Sachtler Campack Plus is its size. It's massive! You can even fit an ENG style camera body (without lens attached) up to 50cm (20in) in length in the middle compartment. 2nd its rugged build quality. I have been using multiple camera backpacks over the past few years and non of them is as spacious and rugged than the Sachtler one. Due to its build quality and size it's a bit heavy but that's the price to pay for a bag this size which protects your camera gear very well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for hauling underwater DSLRs and their accessories Proper underwater photography isn't easy. On land, the gear is very heavy and large. Consider the camera. A DSLR in a professional housing is easily more than a foot wide and 8 inches tall. Each lens also has its own port which ranges from 4 to 8 inches in diameter. Add to this the strobes, which are the size of a studio strobe, and you need at least two of them. Now, all this stuff has to fit into a bag that is portable. The best underwater photography in the world is often in remote places. Think Borneo, Sulawesi, Dauin, and Papua New Guinea. Not easy places to get to. You often have to be able to move the gear into and off of small boats, tricycles, truck beds, and other Asian transportation inventions. This bag has proven to be very adept at transporting my photo gear around the world. It's taken knocks, drops, and some minor spray with aplomb.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile, robust and well designed This is a versatile, well designed, robust flexible bag, which gives great protection for whatever kit you need to carry. If you work on different types of projects, using lots of different types of equipment this bag is ideal. The rigid inner padded dividers are removable and can be individually set in numerous combinations allowing versatility to carry a wide range of equipment whilst providing a lot of protection. I have carried cameras like C300, F5, FS7 and a selection of lenses from Primes to Zooms. I have also used it as a general location / floorbag carrying filters and batteries etc. The campack plus is large, some may find it cumbersome and heavy when fully loaded but if you are looking for a backpack that gives you the versatility to carry a wide range of equipment then this is the trade off. (I was given a SC303 by Sachtler to test in real locations, but the above views are my own. My honest opinions have been formed by using the bag in the field over the last year)
