Hope my letter finds you well! I would like to purchase the M60 Master Set by Telefunken with the 3 different capsules, (especially need the TK61) but I am also looking for something what can be attached to the end of the microfons looks like a translucent sphere but have no idea whats that for and how do you call that.. Have a picture with it but can’t attach to this mail. Can you please help me. Appreciate your time!

Hello. These are great mics, an excellent choice for recording in general. As for the sphere you're referring to, we're not sure as to what item you mean. They sound like they could be types of windscreens, in which case we have items like these available BH #THPF842S. If you have more specific information regarding the sphere, please give us a chat or call at 800-606-6969 and we can attempt to assist you.

question

Self noise of this mic, acording to Telefunken is 5db- This is an early model?
Asked by: Anonymous
There's no way the capsules can achieve a 5db noise floor. Assume this is for the microphone preamp itself, I've found that as a whole, the microphone is around a 19-22db self-noise range. It seems louder in operation than the Rode NTG3 as an example.
