The grip is textured to feel exactly like the body but has a very slight difference in feel. You have to be thinking about it to notice though.

question

Do you happen to know whether its weather-sealed? Especially around the insert section of battery compartment? Thanks
Asked by: Marek Z.
It's not "weather sealed", but I've used mine in rain more than once over the past several years with no issues whatsoever. If the rain is very heavy, I use plastic covers over the camera/lens. In light rain and drizzle I don't usually use the covers and never had any trouble.

DO both batteries slide into the bottom of the grip? Doesn't show this very clearly.

You can click on the " " symbol for the product photo and the seventh image shows the battery tray. It holds both batteries and slides into the grip from the end, just like the Canon grip for the 7D Mark II does.
