LumiQuest LQ-103S overview

  • 1Description

Bounce your light to create a soft, diffuse light source with the UltraSoft with UltraStrap from LumiQuest. The bundle features the UltraSoft bouncer which redirects light at a 90-degree angle from the flash, enlarging it to 6-8 times the size of the flash head, and then it has a frosted diffuser to further soften the light. This allows it to create soft, diffuse light from the normally harsh light of the flash unit. It comes with the UltraStrap which has hook-and-loop fasteners for attachment to an on-camera flash unit.

LumiQuest LQ-103S reviews

UltraSoft with UltraStrap is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comparing to Sto-Fen omni bounce People would be wise to ignore the review that compares this to the omni bounce. They are completely different products and the omni bounce cannot and does not do what this does. That is very bad advice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for portraits If you take portraits on-the-go and/or in situations in which setting up umbrellas or soft boxes isn't possible this is the next best thing. You can carry it with you at all time since it folds totally flat and wip it out when needed. It attaches in a second and it's not a heavy, bulky thing as some other diffusers. Very good quality and produces a beautiful, soft light Ideal for quick portraits. With this in your camera bag you'll be covered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does basically what it claims Relatively simple to store and deploy, this soft plastic diffuser generates a somewhat broader and more gentle light than the simple hard plastic diffusers. I have used it successfully for macros of eyes. It works reasonably well very close up. When you use it farther from the subject, it offers little benefit over the small, easier to deploy hard plastic diffusers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It Works Works very well in situations where there is no ceiling to bounce your on camera flash, the ceiling is black or colored, or the ceiling is too high. I even used it as a diffuser on for a speedlite on a light stand and it did a pretty good job. It is a good thing to have in your bag and well worth the price. I read some reviews about people not wanting to put velcro on their flashes. I don't know why that bothers some people because a little rubbing alcohol will remove the adheasive. I bought extra velcro from a dollar store for my other speedlites so I can use it on all of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well and stores easily I use the Gary Fong Lightsphere but I leave it at home a lot because it is bulky. This I keep in a pocket on my camera bag at all times because it folds flat. Works fine, looks OK and attaaches securely with the cinch strap

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad bouncer I have used it recently on a wedding, works well but we have to remember that this is a small softbox and in this case bigger is better. Don't expect too much. I think it works better then most plastic bouncers. If you using full frame it covers up to 20mm focal length. I would recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have in any Bag I shoot Weddings, Senior Portraits, in many different locations, inside and out. I have used the LumiQuest Pocket Bounce system for many, many years. I have found nothing better to soften the flash. The lightly frosted filter in gives the images an even warm feeling. Any time I shoot with my flash I use my LumiQuest Pocket Bounce. I recommend it highly. I won't leave home without it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Kluge Gone Wild The Pocket Bouncer may work adequately, but the use of hook & loop (velcro) straps to hold it together and on the flash unit is quite a bit unprofessional looking. The Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce is a much better choice....and less costly.
