    M-DISC MDBD015 reviews

    25GB BD-R 4x Discs (15-Pack Spindle) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 35 OUT OF 35 I have been transferring all of my important HD video projects of 25GB M-Disc's and have not had any failures. The burning process is slow but the results are well worth it. I've had failures of material stored on Blu-ray discs and decided to time had come to back important material up on M Discs. My brother and I have both been recommending to friends that they should consider this method for keeping important pictures and videos. I had hard drives, zip drives and Blu-ray disc all fail at one time or another. I feeling much safer with the M Disc backups.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Main Source For HD Video Preservation I now have transferred the majority of my HD video creations to some 35 25GB BD-R M-Discs without a disc failure. It's a slow burning process but the results are well worth the time. After almost losing some important video that had been recorded to regular Blu-ray discs I began backing up my most valuable productions on the M-Discs. I now highly recommend to friends that they do the same for photos, documents and video that they want to protect and keep for the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Three blanks out of 15 didn't work Those blanks when I bought them cost about $ dollars each. Is that a lot to lose? No. So what, twenty percent produced errors on recording. Big deal? Probably not in terms of money. But when you figure in the time it takes for a BD to be written nowadays (even at 4x speed), then you start thinking, do I have the time to waste waiting for a disc to fail? You prepare the contents, you put the blank in, you start the process and think, in about an hour I'm going to move onto the next one... Wrong! You come back and you see the error either during the recording or after it, during verification (and how would you go without verification?)So, think about it. You can risk it as I did, and waste 20 percent of money AND time trying to get those things to work, or you can seek other solutions. It's your life, it's your decision.
