Manfrotto 200LT-PL Overview

The Manfrotto 200LT-PL Quick Release Plate is ideal for quickly attaching cameras onto all compatible Manfrotto quick release assemblies equipped with an RC2/Q2 attachment and a load capacity of 8.8 lb or less. If using this plate on a head with a greater load capacity, it is recommended not to exceed 8.8 lb of gear. Thanks to its lightweight technopolymer body reinforced with extremely stiff glass fibers, the plate can stay attached to your camera without adding excessive weight or volume.

The rubber used on this product provides even greater grip than previous models, keeping the camera securely attached and reducing camera twist. The plate is easily attached to your camera by hand-tightening a D-ring, removing the need for tools.

Works great! Solid construction. I love the D-ring handle on the thumbscrew that makes it easy to tighten the release plate onto my camera or lighting accessories.

I have been using this QR Plates for a long time, and I keep needing more of them with my increasing collection of photographic equipment. Works perfectly, but they are actually surprisingly expensive for what they are.

This is the plate that would attach to the camera. The part you need to attach to the tripod head is Manfrotto 323 RC2 System Quick Release Adapter with 200PL-14 Plate.

How to lift the D ring without breaking one's nails?? It is completely stuck. Only with a coin or a Swiss army knife it can be broken loose.So anyway a coin is necessary, no? Mugge

Will this PL200 fit other brand's base plates? MAnfrotto's 323 baseplate's lack of flush surface won't support my application (323 attached to Ronin-m plate) and would hate to change system which would also require replacing all tripod heads. Hopefully some 3rd party bases will accept the 200PL.

Thanks. MAy have asked the question under the wrong version as I have the aluminum ones. Can't really sand it (or file aluminum down) as works fine on all tripod heads designed for it. What I am trying to find is a base (and brand) that has a flush bottom and accepts the PL200 plate. May ultimately have to raise the 323 base with a spacer to accommodate the dropdown locking lever.
