The Axis8 Active 2000-Watt 8" 2-Way Coaxial Speaker System is part of Denon DJ's family of Axis compact speaker systems. The speaker uses 2000W of class-D digital amplification to deliver high output in a portable form factor.
The speaker utilizes a novel coaxial design where the high frequency compression driver is mounted coaxially (at the apex) of the system's low-frequency driver. This design-known as coincident mounting-ensures a time and phase coherent output, which improves definition and clarity. The coaxial driver design also reduces the cabinet height by more than 30% compared to conventional speakers, making for compact units with reduced visual bulk and improved audience sightlines.
