Featuring a dual-rail, belt-driven design, the Gemini Camera Slider from Glide Gear allows you to capture slides up to 38" with a slider that's only 23.6" in length. It accomplishes this feat by, essentially, pulling the rails of the slider along with the camera carriage as it moves. To take advantage of this functionality, the slider must be mounted on a tripod, as this allows the bottom set of rails to travel through the center mounting plate. When used on a flat surface or at ground level, using an included set of detachable feet, movement of the bottom rails is restricted, and the Gemini functions as a typical slider.
The Gemini supports a maximum load of 11 lb, with an optimum performance coming from loads weighing up to 6.6 lb. Additional features include a built-in handle easier angle adjustment and leveling when using a ball head, a built-in spirit level, and a tension-adjustment knob with locking feature.
