Key Features
- 50.6MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor
- Dual DIGIC 6 Image Processors
- Low-Pass Filter Effect Cancellation
- 3.2" 1.04m-Dot ClearView II LCD Monitor
Providing the full resolving power of its new sensor, the EOS 5DS R DSLR Camera from Canon is a variant of the 5DS with the sensor's low-pass filter rendered neutral. By cancelling the effect of the filter, the 50.6MP sensor is enabled to deliver an even higher resolution with more intricate details. The potential downside to this is that the cancellation function brings with it the greater possibility of moiré and other color artifacts. This is a camera for those interested in the utmost resolution from the sensor and the ability to control color artifacts either in-camera or with post-processing software.

question
Is the sd card write speed as fast as the CF card speed? the 5D mkIII SD speed is too slow.
I did some experiments with my 7D MkII and found the speed was very dependent on the write speed of the card. Make sure you are using the fastest SD card you can get before you blame it on the camera. My best results were with a SanDisk Extreme Pro, 90 MB/sec write speed. That still might not be as fast as a CF that can have 150 MB/sec speeds.

I have Photoshop CS6 (2012), Bridge CS6 shows version 5.0.2.4 (I may have neglected to update it if this is not the latest version while Adobe was still selling PS.)
Will Bridge be able to read the raw files (.CR) from this camera directly without converting the files to something else first? there are some questions/answers that indicate that Lightroom's earlier versions do not read the files directly, so I am wondering about Bridge ?
More than likely you will need to upgrade to Adobe CC for it to read the files.

question
GPS picture tracking?
I'd suggest just running a GPS logger program on your phone (e.g. Wahoo Fitness), and then import the GPX into Lightroom. The map module has a very easy way to synch imported pictures with the GPX track to geotag all your pics.

will my current lenses for the t6i fit this?
will my current lenses for the t6i fit this?
I have not owned a t6i Canon, however I think the lenses are interchangeable as far as fit is concerned. Will the lenses in question perform as expected with the 5DS R is altogether another question. The 5DSR has incredible ability to capture a great deal of light hitting its remarkable sensor. The lens designed for the t6i may not let in the same amount of light focused on the the 5DSR sensor. That's why I only use Canon's red line lenses.

Is there any way to enable a Low-Pass Filter or add a filter to the lens that had the same effect to avoid moire and artifacts?
Unfortunately no, as it is a physical part of the sensor stack. Photo Editing programs like Photoshop have ways to remove moire and the like.

question
Will the Canon EP-EX15 Eyepiece Extender fit the 5ds-r? If not is there or will there be an extender?
I'd bet lunch it does. The clip is the same for the eyepiece.
