Will the hex nut on this Impact also fit a Kupo Clamp, or does it only fit Impact Super Clamp?
The hex pin on this hook can fit clamps from Kupo, Impact and Manfrotto that have a hex receiver.

Can the stud be turned and reoriented by loosening the bolt?
I havent tried that but the j hook rotates freely for different mounting options. Hope this helps.
