The Speedring for OCF Flash Heads from Profoto is part of the Off-Camera Flash system developed for the B2 head but also compatible with the B1 Off-Camera Flash. The speedring has been scaled down and fitted with an easy patent-pending snap-in system for the softbox rods while the hard rubber collar has been replaced with a lighter weight silicone rubber substitute. Speedring for OCF Flash Heads is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from also fits Lastolite Ezybox Hotshoe Softbox This might be of marginal use for many of you, but I recently upgraded from a Canon speedlite/Lastolite solution to the Profoto line, and discovered that the OCF Speedring fits quite nicely in the Lastolite. The main advantage is that I can very quickly put something useful together in the field for use with the B1. The only possible downside is that the fabric opening is a slightly smaller diameter than the B1, which implies some nominal light loss, and there could be a potential thermal issue if you were keep your modeling light on all the time. Note the exact model name of the softbox tested, I have not tried this with their other products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It breaks after the first use it looks and feels like built with good plastic; however it breaks after my first use with the ofc beauty dish.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from cheap...in quality, not price. I used this for a few weeks on daily shoots and after several setups, the thing metal ring came loose causing the softboxes to fall from the light/ring and made it basically useless. I think the design is simple but there is an obvious weak point in the thin ring around the rubber part that they need to re-design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great design, but so over-priced It does what it needs to do, and does it well, so I have no complaints about the quality or the functionality. That being said, for a piece of molded plastic, it is ridiculously over-priced. Considering the limited use for these speedings (they'll only work with Profoto lights and modifiers, they should be 1/2 to 1/3 the price. Honestly Profoto, if you're listening, I would buy more of your modifiers but every time I put one in the shopping basket, I have to pause and say, dayum, I need another one of those spendy plastic speedrings...nevermind.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It breaks It looks and feels really nice but it's fragile. Not for heavy-duty, pro, study use. Mine broke at the second time I tried to use--although I have to admit it was a third-party softbox. If you're only using the Pf OCF modifiers, it may work OK. But if you're dealing with all sort of professional-grade softboxes, with sturdier rods, like I think pro speed rings (especially at the Profoto price range) should work save yourself time and money and get the standard metal Profoto speed ring.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from broke on 3rd use For a $100 this thing should be bomb proof. Broke on 3rd use, one of the retention slots for the pole broke off like glass with zero effort. highly disappointed in this ring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Built (albeit proprietary) Hardware Nothing can be held against this particular piece of equipment. It's simple, attaches quick, and allows for use of Profoto softboxes. Because of its simplicity there isn't much bad that can be said; it holds your modifier firmly and reliably in place. It works with both B2's and B1's. As with all Profoto product it's more expensive than comparable items. Because of their zero-compromise builds, I can't use the 'over-priced' argument against Profoto strobes: I consider them to be among the absolute best. That same argument can't be as easily made for a speedring. Pros: It's sturdy and reliable; everything you'd need from a speedring. Cons: The ONLY reason I gave it four was its price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tough and light i have to buy this product to attach my OCF softbox to my B2 profoto. When i hold this ring, it's feels tough and light. there is no problem happen when you attach profit softbox on it. I put 4 star on it because i have to spent a lot of money to buy it.
