Specifically designed to work with your FS7 camera, the Tilta BS-T10 Quick Release Baseplate for Sony FS7 allows you to mount your camera on a VCT-type quick-release-style tripod adapter. The baseplate allows you to go from tripod mounted to handheld with just the flick of the release lever on an optional VCT adapter plate. The baseplate features a built-in shoulder pad so the camera maintains its hand holdable function and adds LWS rod support for accessories. ARRI compatible rosettes are built-into each side of the baseplate, allowing you to use optional ARRI compatible handgrips.

Front and rear mounted LWS rod clamps allow you to use the included support rods for optional rod-mounted accessories such as a matte box or a follow focus. You can mount the rods in the rear clamps to support optional batteries, off-board recorders, or counterweights. Note only one pair of rods are included, so to use front and rear mounted accessories you will need to source optional rods.

You can build this baseplate up as a handheld rig, and then quickly go from handheld to tripod mounted, on a tripod with a VCT type adapter, without altering your rig configuration.
The 15mm rods are female threaded at both ends, allowing you to use optional rod extenders and rods to create longer support rods.
One end of each rod is chamfered, which makes it easier to slide rod-mounted accessories onto the support rods from the chamfered end.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolutely the worst Product This thing was terrible I sent it back it wobbles back and forth on the Sony quick release plate they made the metal pieces that click on too short which allows for the rocking back and forth if that was fixed I definitely loved it otherwise was a good design with bad follow through don't buy it unless tilta fixes that problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Shoulder Rig I was hesitant to buy this at first, because it's half the price of comparable solutions from Zacuto (which tends to over build things) and Sony, but I'm very pleased with it. Construction and build quality are great it's mostly machined aluminum, so kind of hard to go wrong. It sits very well on my shoulder with a simple FS7 build kit (see photo) and it's small enough that it doesn't get in the way, or make the rig heavier or clunkier. I mainly purchased this so I could attach a 2nd extension arm on the FS7, and it works great for that purpose. I picked up an arm and leather handle from SmallRig, and they work great together. I also attached the Tilta follow focus, which of course integrates perfectly. All in all, for the price of a Zacuto or Sony should mount, you can get a Tilta shoulder mount and Tilta follow focus, so for me the decision was a no brainer!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Affordable, But Wish the Shoulder Pad Were Deeper I'm using the Tilta plate with a Sony FS7 to form the basis of my rig. Price is within reach, and for the price it's not too bad of a starting point for a nice rig. The only real downside to it is that the shoulder pad is not deep enough so it doesn't hug the shoulder when used as a shoulder mounted camera. It wants to wobble around quite a bit as a result. The particular BS-T10 is different from the one I bought last year, in that it doesn't come with the front and top cheese plates. But price is a little less and frankly, the plates add extra weight and I have little use for them. The important thing is that it lets me mount rails and a matte box for filters as well as provide places to attach external monitors/recorders, etc.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could be better for Price. I bought this for the Sony FS7. For the price you get great build quality and a comfortable shoulder pad. But even after stacking a v-lock on the back of the camera you will not be balanced with moderate zoom lens like the 20-105 from canon. If you are looking for balanced rig in this price range I would look at Zacutos or Movcams. I returned mine and opted for one of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well-built It was easy to install and is solid. I'm much happier with it than the factory shoulder mount on the FS7. It moves the grip handle out just enough from the body of the camera that it can be rotated to any angle.
