The MSA5000 Laptop Mount from On-Stage provides a versatile solution for incorporating tablets, laptops, mixers, samplers, or recorders into a stage or studio rig. The laptop mount uses a standard 5/8"-27 threaded adapter allowing it to be mounted to any straight microphone stand. Additionally, the mount is compatible with other On-Stage stands including the KS9102 Quantum Core Column keyboard stand, along with the KSA7575 and KSA7575+ mic attachment bars.
The MSA5000 offers a fixed depth of 10" and an adjustable width from 14 to 16.5". The front, rear and side tabs keeps your device in place, while the ventilation slots provide air circulation to prevent your electronics from overheating. The mount offers a black powder coat finish and has a weight capacity of 12 lb.

Solid stand for 16" MacBook Pro
I was unsure if this would be strong enough for my 16" MacBook Pro (2019). But it's definitely big enough and solid enough to handle my gear and mounts easily to a mic stand.
Great for other devices too!
I bought 2 of these, one for my laptop and the other is for my audio interface and a small Yamaha mixer (MG06). It's very sturdy and it fits all my needs. I use it for my laptop in teaching online piano lessons while I'm at the piano. A happy purchase with no regrets!
Perfect for my 16 MacBook Pro
didn't come with instructions, but if you look at the box, you can figure out how to assemble the adjustable guides. works perfectly. is sturdy and well made. It's exactly what I needed. It's designed to be used with a mic stand with 5/8 thread.
Nice construction
I was disappointed that there wasn't any instructions on how to put it together, but the picture on the box helped.
Inexpensive alternative
This is a LOT less than the Tethertools equivalent item. However, you'll need [ B&H # CAC1704 ] to convert the 5/8-27 threads on the bottom to 1/4-20 threads which is far more useful, and allows me to bolt this laptop mount to a tripod which is more stable than a light stand or music stand. I also had to put a little washer under the thread adapter so the adapter stays flush with the threads of the unit itself. That way I can get the tripod QR plate screwed in securely.
Exactly what I wanted !
Loving the On-Stage mic stand laptop attachment!! Have always dreamed of investing in of these these, and it’s even better than I thought!! I attach it to a clamp on mic stand and attach is to an over Bed table, so I can wriite music on the couch and in bed haha Creativity has no limits !!
The support underneath is ok.
I have yet to find a system for securing this plate to a stand without introducing lots of wobble.
Great for a laptop
It took some piecing together, but I've been using this attached to a tripod to hold my computer when tethered. Each side has a stopper, so the computer doesn't slide off.
