Perfect for Canon G5xII

This lens worked perfectly for close-up photography: just the right distance away for photographing bees on flowers. I put the camera on manual focus; set the lens for its closest focusing distance; then moved my body back and forth to achieve focus.

Excellent closeup lens

closeup of small items, flowers. Best of flat items as depth of field is very limited even at small aperatures.

Absolutely fabulous!

The quality of B&W has always been superb. This is perfect if you do not have a macro lens in your bag or want to occasionally take some macro shots. The price is right and an excellent buy.

I shoot photojournalism, and was thinking to offload some of my lenses I rarely use to save some space in my bag and cut down the weight. I was selling my 60mm macro and thinking to use this macro filter with 50mm. This filter is weird to use. It requires me to get super close to subject without much flexibility to focus and compose. I ended up returning this and use my 180mm on my DX camera for close up shots.

really am happy with it!

I'm sure the B&W 52mm close-up +10 lens is a good product. Unfortunately, the product did not fit my needs. My purpose of purchasing this lens was to photograph jewelry, but it as too powerful. I had to get too close to the piece of jewelry which in turn filled the frame with no depth of field at all. The is a great product for microscopic photography, by of no use to me. I must say that B&H was very kind and fair to let me send back the lens and be reimbursed. That is why I will always use B&H for my photographic needs

Excellent lens
