The B+W 58mm Macro Close-up +10 Lens (NL10) is a close-up diopter lens which allows you to decrease the minimum focus distance on any lens, in turn increasing the effective maximum reproduction ratio of your lens. This lens' dioptric power is enough to simulate true macro-like performance (up to 1:2 or 1:1.5). It is recommended to use middle apertures, such as f/8 or f/11, in order to achieve corner-to-corner sharpness. This filter also does not feature front threads and is not meant to be used in combination with other filters.

B+W filters are constructed from high quality Schott glass for increased optical clarity and color fidelity. This filter has a single anti-reflective coating, which helps to improve light transmission to over 98% while preventing internal reflections and ghosting. Additionally, it features a brass filter ring for increased durability as well as jamming prevention.

This filter decreases the minimum focus distance of any lens, providing macro-like results.

    58mm Macro Close-up +10 Lens (NL10) is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works fine, slight barreling I use this product on a Sony DSR PD-150. It easily screws onto the primary lens and does the job as advertised. The construction materials seem first-rate and there is no lens slippage in the metal mount. There does not appear to be any color shift or halo effect. There is slight barreling, especially when the lens is placed very close to the subject.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from focus point may be too close This lens attaches to the front of your lens and because of its construction does not allow the use of any filters, either behind or in front of the close-up lens. Also, depending on the lens that you use this with, the focus point can be so close that your subject will be in the shadow of your lens. It is an inexpensive way to achieve a high degree of magnification, but with the above drawbacks. For me, the use of extension tubes for a bit more money is a better alternative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great if you have a lot of light I quickly discovered that you must use very high apertures and a lot of light with this filter. I purchased it to use for getting ring shots at weddings and after playing with it a bit I think it will work perfectly for that and I don't have to spend 1K on a new lens just for ring shots. Since I like to get all the bling in focus for rings I like to use an aperture of 13 or higher.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Magnifying lens Will not work with macro lenses. Must be used on manual focus on my camera because it will not auto focus the objects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 58mm Macro Close-up +10 (NL10) Lens I use this on models, weapons, and other hobbies. I need the fine detail to relate problems, work I accomplished, and fine detail on projects to record. The transition is fast. It attaches with precision and feels professionally built. The clarity is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enough Good It does allow you to shoot very close objects. But if you have some wide angle converter lens with macro capabilities then this is just waste of money. I don't see any difference between this and the macro lens of Impact 0.45x wide angle converter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good but hard to use allows you to get very close macros, but the focal depth becomes very shallow and it doesnt focus too far from the camera...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not in love... YET I am having a hard time focusing with this. I haven't spent a lot of time working with it yet. So, I may change my mind.
