The CineMilled Steadicam Arm Post Adapter allows you to attach your Ronin gimbal directly to the arm post of your Steadicam. It adds fourth axis vertical stabilization and takes the weight of the Ronin off your arms. This version is compatible with 7/8" size arm posts. The CineMilled Universal Ronin Quick Plate, sold separately, is required to complete the assembly of this adapter.

The optional Quick Plate is secured on the bottom, and the Ronin attaches to it. The Steadicam arm post installs into the Arm Post Adapter on the opposite end, and the handlebars of the Ronin insert in between the two and allow you to maneuver the Ronin. An included aircraft safety pin further secures the Steadicam arm post in place. You can operate the Ronin like this in standard or inverted low mode.

A major benefit of using your Ronin this way is that you're not tethered in any way, but rather have full floating stabilized movement of the Ronin.

Note: The CineMilled Universal Ronin Quick Plate, sold separately, is required (Mfr# CM-002).

Steadicam Arm Post Adapter for DJI Ronin (7/8") is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from A bit disappointed. While over all the construction is good, i do have to take issue with i assume is their actual milling process. I ordered the 7/8 adapter to fit the Glide Gear 6001 armpost which itself is 7/8 diameter. Unfortunately either because of their own milling process or maybe their powder coating process the adapter is actually a MM + smaller than the listed 7/8 on the packaging, this will now require myself to rebore on a product that should have already been precise in its own measurements. Now if i was'nt using the Glide Gear sure it would be fine. But the point is, when something says 7/8 it should be 7/8. At the price point they charge you would expect a much higher fidelity of veracity. Maybe its a one off, or maybe others have had the same thing. But it is these kind of things that ultimately drive people to DIY alternatives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well We use this adaptor to attach our DJI Ronin to our GlideCam X-10 Steadicam Arm. The rod on our X-10 didn't come with pre-drilled holes for the safety pin, so you might need to drill holes in your rod as well. You also have to use A LOT of force to get the screws to go through. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but just be ready to use some force (but don't tighten the clamp too much because you can easily crush your Ronin Handle Bar). Outside of those minor notifications, it works well for us. Very grateful that we can put our X-10 back in action. It really helps with long shoots!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works well...once I fixed it The armpost adapter works great...once I fixed it. It's not 7/8, it was just under 6/8 which meant I had to find someone to who to bore it out. Kind of a hassle and for the price I expect some better quality control.
