The Kowa Digidapter for TSN-880 and TSN-770 Series Spotting Scopes is a digiscoping adapter system that consists of three main components, a camera platform, an outer ring, and an inner ring. When combined, they allow a variety of camera types, including point and shoots, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras to effectively use a Kowa TSN-880 or TSN-770 series spotting scope as a telephoto lens.
Constructed from anodized, billet aluminum alloy for durability, the components of the Kowa Digidapter for TSN-880 and TSN-770 Series Spotting Scopes provide accurate, consistent alignment due to the ability to adjust the camera platform and outer ring according to a camera's dimensions so that the camera's lens is aimed precisely into the spotting scope's eyepiece. Both the camera platform and outer ring are securely connected to the eyepiece by a custom inner ring that is reversible so that the distance between the end of the eyepiece and your camera can be varied. This provides the ability to use not only smaller point and shoot as well as mirrorless cameras, but larger DSLRs, which even with relatively short lenses installed, require greater distance from the eyepiece for effective digiscoping.
Though preassembled and easy to install, the Kowa Digidapter for TSN-880 and TSN-770 Series Spotting Scopes saves time after the initial set up by allowing you to record your camera's position on the platform by means of included location pins. This feature allows for the camera to be removed from the platform for quick battery or memory card changes and then moved back into place without the need to reestablish focus.
