This VEO 235AB Aluminum Tripod with TBH-50 Ball Head from Vanguard has a load capacity of 13.2 lb and extends from 7.25" to 58". The tripod's center column is reversible, allowing the legs to fold around the head, and making it a compact 14.9" when folded. With rubber feet and retractable steel spikes, the tripod remains stable on a variety of surfaces from carpet to ice. The 5 leg sections are held in place with flip locks that can be adjusted with the included leg lock tightening tool.

The included ball head has a large locking knob, degree markings for the 360° panning, and an Arca-type compatible quick release plate. A carrying case is also included to protect the tripod when not in use.

VEO 235AB Aluminum Tripod with TBH-50 Ball Head is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from One Size Up Wonderfully constructed, adjustable tension on latches and leg spread, terrific ball head with short throws from lock to smooth movement, great carrying case. It's most unique feature is its undoing. The center column which flips to dramatically reduce overall length when packed does not provide stable support when unfolded for use. Raised any more than a few inches the center column easily wobbles. The legs themselves are not robust. Keep your equipment weight low on this unit and it will probably be fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, quality travel tripod I have only set up and used the tripod indoors so far, but it is easy and quick to set up, and it folds down conveniently to a very small profile. I'm planning to use this for travel and backpacking so I don't have to lug my much larger and heavier Induro around. I mostly shoot with mirrorless (Sony) now, so this should handle nearly all my shooting options, except maybe not the big glass - I'll stick with a heavier tripod for that. I'll be taking it on an overseas trip soon with exclusively outdoors use, in varying conditions. If there are problems, I'll update this review. Right now, this seems like a great bang for the buck.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a nice product, the finish is good. The tripod is a fine product. Does what it is designed to do, however if your using large lenses like a G Master zoom , the tripod is light. There is no hook at bottom of the tube that the ball mount is on for weights. That would have been a huge plus. You will need to use weight to stabilize. The set up is simple and fast. Good product well designed with a few issues , but yes; it does what it is designed to do. Just add weight with larger glass. I use A7sII and 24-70 G Master .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super compact-strong like bull I bought this to pack out while backpacking through Europe and Asia soon.... It is the perfect size to go in/on my camera backpack. Ball head is very strong and holds my canon 5D series cameras very securely. The legs are pretty spindly when fully extended, but I knew that I would have to make a compromise for the size. It is exactly as I had hoped and initial tests, even with a 70-200, have given me confidence that this will do the job I'm asking it to do-with flying colors.... Money well spent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect For Travel I bought this tripod to take along with me when I shoot with my Sony mirrorless camera. It's lightweight make it a dream for my purpose, yet it's metal construction gives it a solid feel. It doesn't have the massiveness of my Manfrotto and it may not last as long, but I sure will get a lot more use out of it. Highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Tripod I needed a nice sturdy tripod and saw an ad for this one. Boy am I glad I decided to purchase it. It is very compact for the overall height once fully erected. The ball head is smooth as it pivots with the camera mounted, no stuttering or hopping. I especially like the degree marker as the camera is rotated, very handy reference. This will be a great piece of equipment to take along for a photography trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight & portable but very stable. Solid & stable, but most of all, lightweight & versatile. It fits in a side pocket of my camera bag & adds very little weight. Great for travel. I think that's the selling point. It's lightweight but not cheaply made at all. It provides the perfect balance between portability & stability. Setup is quick & easy. The individual legs each have a push button that lets you quickly lock or unlock them to spread them out wider or shimmy them closer together. It's a really useful feature. You can use it to get really low to the ground, or spread the legs wide to gain stability. The feet have optional spikes that be retracted or extended to give you better traction. Be careful when you first setup the tripod! The spikes were extended on mine & I accidentally put some small holes in my wood floor ;-) I generally keep them retracted now, but it's a nice option to have. I'm trying to think of a downside, but can't really come up with one. Some people say it's unstable when fully extended but even with my heaviest lens (Canon 70-200L 2.8) I haven't found that to be true. I recommend the ball head as well. In my opinion this is a great buy for someone looking for a quick, stable, well made, versatile travel tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Design Purchased this tripod as an upgrade to my 2-yr old tripod and upgraded in price as well. It was well worth the extra cost as the quality of the tripod is very noticeable. Also, the design is amazing with the ball head and how the main shaft tucks in-between the legs of the tripod making it extremely compact. As a photographer this tripod will be key in landscape photography as well as floral photography in keeping the camera secure and at the correct angel for the shot.
