The Canon EOS Rebel T5 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens is an 18MP APS-C format DSLR camera with a DIGIC 4 image processor. It is paired with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens, giving you a range of wide-angle to short telephoto focal lengths.

The combination of the T5's CMOS sensor and DIGIC 4 image processor provide high clarity, a wide tonal range, and natural color reproduction. With an ISO range of 100-6400 (expandable to 12800), you can shoot in low-light situations, reducing the need for a tripod or a flash. The nine-point autofocus system includes one center cross-type AF point to deliver accurate focus in both landscape and portrait orientations.

You can capture Full HD 1080p video by way of the T5's dedicated Live View/Movie Recording button, at 30, 25, or 24 fps. Additionally, the camera can also record HD video in 720p at 60 and 50 fps, and 480p at 30 and 35 fps.

The 3" rear LCD screen has 460,000 pixels, and a 170° viewing angle, making it ideal for menu navigation, composing in Live View, and reviewing or sharing your photos and videos.

The Rebel T5 is compatible with the full line of Canon EF and EF-S lenses, and is paired here with the EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens. This lens offers wide-angle to standard focal lengths, with a 35mm equivalency of 29-88mm. It is a versatile lens that can focus as close as 9.8".

The lens features Canon's Optical Image Stabilization technology, which provides up to four stops of compensation for image blur caused by camera shake and slow shutter speeds. This helps to get clear, crisp images, even in low light situations. Aberrations are minimized thanks to an aspherical lens element, and a circular aperture renders pleasing out-of-focus areas.

18.0 Megapixel CMOS Sensor and DIGIC 4 Image Processor
High resolution, low-noise imaging, and fast performance speed, including 3 fps continuous shooting, is provided by the combination of the Canon DIGIC 4 Image Processor and 18MP CMOS sensor.
Full HD Video
Choose between 1080p, 720p, and 480p HD video, with various fps options. The T5 also has a Video Snapshot feature that captures short clips of 2, 4, or 8 seconds, and combines them into a video highlights clip.
Scene Intelligent Auto Mode
Scene Intelligent Auto Mode analyzes images, and chooses the correct exposure and enhancements to optimize the scene in your photo.

EOS Rebel T5 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 143.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera package Purchased this camera along with a Vello timer to take high-resolution time-lapse photography of a construction project lasting 6 months. It's now the company's special events camera. The images are crisp, and the camera can be set to amateur mode, several presets for skilled photographers, or completely professional. The included lens is more than capable of most close and medium distance photography, and the depth of field can be set high enough that I was able to get good quality where I needed clean images from 50 to 350 feet. I can't comment enough on how well this camera has worked.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great starter DSLR! This was my first DSLR. It is easy to use right out of the box and takes excellent quality photos. The menu is easy to navigate and provides helpful explanations about the different shooting modes. It is also very lightweight and packable! If you are looking for your first DSLR, the Rebel line of cameras is an excellent choice backed by the reliable Canon name. My only criticism about this camera is that it does not have a broad feature set, but that is acceptable for this price point. If you want a camera that will force you to shoot in manual, I suggest a higher-end model. However, if your goal is to take beautiful photos with ease, look no further!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great entry level camera! I am professionsl photgrapher and bought this for my daughter. I have used Canons for years and like there lay out. I do classes and beginners seem to have less issues with the Canons as they are not as menu driven as some other brands. I would use this camera myself as a back up camera. The lenses, while entry level, appeared very sharp. I opted for the 55/250 STM as it had much better reviews. No it doens't have every thing my 5D Mark III has but it has the neccesary features to take great images. I could take saleable images with this camera!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing camera! I got this camera through my college, with my financial aid and it's an awesome camera. I got the 18-55mm lens and I also have the 55-250mm lens and I love them both, though I do hope to get a 50mm lens very soon. But this camera is just awesome! The quality of the photos are great and the features are really nice and I love how it feels when I hold it, it is just right for me. Though I do want to upgrate at some point, I can see myself using my T5 camera for a very long time. I think it's a wonderful camera to get if you're on a budget. It fits all my needs and I love that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best entry-level camera for the money Is capable of producing some pretty wonderful pictures. This is my first DSLR, and I've had it for about 2-3 months now, and overall I like it and have no major gripes with it (the cons listed below are quite minor in my eyes). Pros: Solidly built for the price (with exception, see cons below)* Good image quality Comes with kit lens that is great for general use Can shoot in raw Can shoot video Cons: Flimsy battery door* Can only shoot video in manual focus Autofocus with live view is rather slow and not always accurate

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon T5 I purchased the Canon T5 as a mid-range camera to save my Nikon D4 from extreme environmental working hazards and conditions in the field. The T5 body seems small and lightweight for extra-large hands. I use a Vello battery grip to compensate, a major plus for extra support and handling. The ISO range, WB, and photo quality met and exceeded my expectations without 'fixing' them on a computer. The auto settings for various scenes are very good, indeed. I also enjoy full range manual control for each function. It works well with remote external flash units. I expected slow performance while using in -18 F weather but was surprised, especially the rapid image processing time at high ISO's and extended exposures. In summary, I am very pleased with this camera and its range of capabilities. For its class, I must rate the unit a five. However, in my opinion, nothing beats film cameras. Yet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Basic Camera It was surprisingly cheap feeling compared to the T1i. I had to borrow that camera from my school for a photography class until I could afford my own, which is why I got this T5. To be honest, I liked the T1i better. I thought I was getting a better one since it's so new, but it's actually lesser in features. If you are on a budget and are looking for an acceptable camera, I would go with an older model that has an i behind the number.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS CAMERA This is a WONDERFUL camera!! I take pictures of my friends all the time, and they always comment on it, Wow! This is like professional photo quality! Yes, there is an element of excellence required in good photography. But this camera makes good photography so easy! It's easily navigable, easy to manage, and easy to understand. There is a setting on it, where it explains all the features: such as aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. It's very very helpful and I am very satisfied with this purchase!! I'd buy it again tomorrow. Great price for the camera and lenses too.
