Canon 2829A001 reviews

72C Macrolite Adapter is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Exactly What It Is Meant To Do I use the MT-24EX Macro Twin Light Flash which directly fits the EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro, and MP-E 65mm lenses and adaptors are required to work with other lenses. The adaptor screws into the lens filter threads and the allowing the flash unit to be used on a wide variety of lens choices greatly increasing the versatility of the flash. This metal adaptor is of high quality and does exactly what it is supposed to do, ie creating a secure attachment point for the macro ring. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works Fine but a Rotten Rip-Off I got mine from B&H about a week ago after it being out-of-stock for about 5 months (no complaints there I'm sure Japan has better things to do, recovering from its earthquake) As noted - there's not much to this - it works fine. HOWEVER - it is an astonishing rip-off by Canon. I bought the 180mm f3.5 L and the Macro Twin Light MT-24 EX, so after dropping 1500 bucks on a lens and 900 on a flash they couldn't chuck in a couple of adapter rings? If this is how Canon treat their customers - I suggest you go buy Nikon (although they probably do the same). The recommendation below not to recommend to a friend is based on the hope that soon someone will start making knock-off's of this item for a tenth of the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 72C Macrolite Adapter It is a bit expansive, but if you want to use the MR-14EX frash with Canon EF 180mm L or Sigma 150mm Macro lenses - must have it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect fit Not much to say about this. Fits the lens perfectly and the Macrolite snaps on and off with ease. My only issue is that you cannot use your lens cap with this adapter in place. That's why it's a 4 star, instead of a 5 star rating.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple device...it works A bit pricey, but if you want to use teh MR-14EX on lenses other than the 100mm F2.8 Macro, you need it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just adapter not too many things to say, perfect connected with my 180L, but really expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You Need This for the Canon Macro Twin Lite if you're using a lens with 72mm thread.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well. This adapter works well on the 180mm macro lens with my twin flash. Pretty idiot proof. If you do lots of macro work you probably need one on each of your different sized lenses to get the best use of the flash. Good construction.
