I utilize this product to turn my VGA outputs on laptops to an HDMI input on an LED monitor that is used as a confidence monitor. Hooked it up right out of the box, and it worked. I used it the next day on a job without any problems.

Works great!

We had an issue with our view sonic HD projectors as they only have hdmi connections yet some folks have VGA only outs on their laptops but cheaper vga to hdmi converters would not work reliably---they would flash on and off and seemed to loose sync etc. not good for client relations but this device has solved all that and seems rock solid! Haven't touched any controls we just plug the vga into it and hdmi into the output and it scales the image and seems to work with all laptops and stays on all day long! The one thing to watch is that the unit still outputs a signal even when the laptop is unplugged so the projectors stay in standby mode so be sure and unplug the units hdmi to let the projectors shut off automatically if that's what u want to happen. Overall very pleased!

question

Will this unit enable me to scale and convert my VGA signal to my ATEM 4k switcher? My ATEM 4k switcher is set to 720p 59.94.
Asked by: Eleazar
It may work, but you may need a Frame Rate Converter as well. The best solution that allows you to bring a VGA signal in to an ATEM Switcher is the Datavideo DAC-70.https://bhpho.to/2eCSriQ

I have a projector that only does 1024x768. I want to take this video signal and bring it into a black magic atem mini. If I add a VGA splitter, and this scaler, will it allow me to go into the blackmagic ATEM Mini?
Asked by: Marty
It could possibly work. But I would call and discuss your setup with one of our agents. Call B&H at 800.606.6969 / 212.444.6615. Projectors typically have scalers built in and support 1080p/i even though the sensor resolution support is XGA.

question

Using the ATEM TV Studio HD, I have the other 3 Hdmi inputs set to 1080p, 29.97... I want to use the 4th input to display the image from a computer (VGA). Can I use this product and specify that exact output?
Asked by: Chad
It is possible that this product will work. However you may also need something that not only scales, but does a frame rate conversion. For bringing a VGA signal in to an ATEM Switcher we recommend the Datavideo DAC-70, B&H # DADAC70. This product is an Up, Down, Cross Converter and Scaler that has a VGA input.https://bhpho.to/2eCSriQ
