Thankfully nothing much to say, you plug in what you need and it just works. I needed a DAC to take output from an AV system and monitor the audio through active speakers, and didn't need a high-end converter. For casual use cases this works just fine, and the price is right.

Works like a charm . . .

Wanted to add headphones to a receiver. Ended up having to get an HDMI switch with an optical out and this converter from Dolby 5.1 to stereo. Worked like a charm . . .

Worked very well

Used it to take TV optical audio output to be able to put it through my surround sound system. Worked very well; excellent quality.
