B&H customer service is great

This is a updated review. My battery purchased failed to charge within months and Nate at B&H responded quickly saying that while it was outside of the 30 day window for B&H replacement, the OEM offered a 1 year warranty. Nate provided info and my invoice, which was helpful. B&H responded quickly to any questions. The NewerTech OEM process was a little more involved, and I'm guessing my ticket was lost when they revamped their support website, or perhaps it was my error, but I did open up another ticket recently with OWC and I got tracking replies and quick service. They are shipping out a replacement for free. I'd recommend B&H anytime. For us users out there, always test and use your products and communicate concerns and follow up promptly. B&H is great. Customer's too are responsible for a good customer experience. Thank you B&H for your ongoing help. Joe 2/3/23

Got a free vintage (2008) Macbook, but the battery was kaput! Purchased this battery, followed the conditioning instructions, and, viola, good as new laptop! Saw some other cheaper batteries online, but results seemed mixed at best, so I decided on proven tech from B&H. Always the best choice at a fair price!

Decent Battery!

I tried a different manufacturer from Amazon for $40 but it lasted only 3.5 weeks and the maximum charge capacity started decreasing. This Nupower battery looks good for now. When I received the battery, it did not have any power and took 8 hours to get fully charged and when it runs out of charge it is taking around the same amount of time too. Battery retaining power after charging is decent enough for now. I would rate this product 3 stars

Well worth the price

Fits perfectly as a replacement for the original Apple battery. Clear but complex instructions (online) for conditioning battery. After several weeks, no issues to report. While more expensive than some other brands available online, I wanted to avoid any hassles with fit or operation. So far, I'm extremely pleased.

After market generic MacBook Battery works fine.

Followed the instructions for powering up the battery at NuPower web site. Original battery lasted 9 years. Hope this battery is as durable. Fit and finish is excellent. Best local price was $110 with tax. Best review of other after market batteries. Also, B&H is a favorite photo and technology vendor for me.

I bought this in early February 2022 and asked in June for a replacement. The battery recharged 4 times from February to June and failed. I did not really use the mac that much. I asked about a replacement in June and Nick at B&H said it was over 30 days and I should contact the OEM because they have a 1 year warranty. I did right away from the OEM web form, once in sales and once in support and I never heard back from the OEM. I just contacted the OEM again, and we will see. I will call them too as it's still under a year. If NewerTech resolves this in a fair way, I'll change my review to 4 outta 5 stars. I always trusted B&H in the past, I think they offer great products. i just feel a bit let down. My advice is use what you buy right away and contact support right away. Be a better consumer than me. Still, B&H should have contacted their vendor on my behalf, because it represents their brand. When you get the brush off, you sorta think twice about spending your money at the same place, even if the directing to OEM was technically legit. Because B&H is where I spend my money on all sorts of things in the future and I will lost likely never ever go to NewerTech again. It's in B&H's future interest to help manage a disappointment better, even if the end result is the same. A follow up contact would have been nice. It's a crummy experience when you spend money and something legit fails, but this can happen. The battery was probably on the shelf for five years. I should not have bought it. It's for a 13 year old unsupported computer and was my bad decision. Otherwise, B&H is a great company, but this product failed me. A cheap version on Amazon might have set my house on fire, so hey, I came out pretty good. Don't buy from Amazon. Do buy From B&H. Do contact right away if you have problems.
