The C-HDM-EXD-A HDMI Audio Extractor from Avenview allows extraction of audio signals from an HDMI source. The original, unaltered HDMI audio or video signal is sent to the display in a normal unedited format. The extractor carries the source HDMI audio signal and converts it to digital optical or analog Stereo (L/R) audio. All digital audio formats (including 5.1/7.1 surround) may easily be converted to analog L/R stereo RCA by setting the audio output switch to 2CH-LPCM. The HDMI output must be connected to a display for the converter to extract the audio signal.
