Simply - this is designed poorly to be an adapter, threaded in the wrong portion. I drilled out the threads and made it work, but seriously it's not for what it's intended. It was a nice experiment - however - I had to can it for a less expensive item that worked much better. I was not aware of the type adapter I ended up buying to begin with after lots of digging, Let's just call it the cost of education. If it doesn't work out of the box - return and dig deeper. Someone has already invented what you're looking for. Nothing off B&H - always good service. My mistake.
