Ensure your focus is spot on with the 3x magnification of the Elvid OptiView 50 3.2" LCD Viewfinder. This viewfinder enlarges the LCD by 300% using multi-coated optical glass for sharp imagery from edge-to-edge and works with most 3.0" and 3.2" screens, in either 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratios. The OptiView 50 also blocks light from hitting the screen, enabling clear, contrasty viewing even in bright sunlight and the rear half can be removed for shading without magnification.

The OptiView 50 features a soft rubber eyecup that can be used with either your left or right eye and even eyeglasses. The viewfinder also offers the ability to mount directly to the camera by using the aluminum magnetic mounting frame with adhesive, or be carried around using the included lanyard.

OptiView 50 3.2" LCD Viewfinder is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional but would not recommend I bought this to make shooting in bright sunlight easier. It does shade the monitor making the image brighter and easier to see. However, the first time i used it the temperature was in the upper 90's. I was shooting in full sun and the glue from the mag mount started to get soft until it pulled off with the viewfinder. Also, the weight of the viewfinder caused the monitor on the Sony A7s to sag. I had to prop it up to use it. I was excited to see that it had a diopter but discovered that it was a simple screw thread adjustment without enough range to get the screen tack sharp. I'll still use it but will be shopping for an upgrade.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't like the idea of sticking something to the LCD screen A;though this is a best seller I personally don't like the idea of sticking something onto my LCD screen. The box is made of hard plastic and the eye piece is not so soft. The box is held in place with the use of small magnets that stick to the metal frame that mounts to the LCD screen by means of sticky tape. The box states the metal frame is smaller than a D810 screen and is definitely smaller than my D750 screen. Since the frame is permanently mounted to the LCD screen this reduces the view-able image on the LCD screen. Best used without permanently mounting the plate.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A loser Well where to start with this one. I ordered to use with my Nikon d7100. First, you are supposed to attach a magnetic frame to the body of your camera... on the d7100 the frame interferes with the buttons on the camera. Next the viewer when place over the viewfinder is too close to be in proper focus. Even if I turn the focus adjustment to the maximum setting bring the lens furthest from the monitor, it's still too close and as a result out of focus. I returned it for a refund.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from When You Want to Know if Images are Tack Sharp On the Spot I shoot nature and I shoot landscapes for stock imagery. I don't want to get back to the office and find out that a shot is slightly out of focus. This is a tool that will let you know in real time if you've got the shot or not. I wear this thing like a necklace when shooting nature shots and because it magnetically attaches to the camera, (using the included metal mounting strip that attaches with an adhesive strip), I can pop it on and off at will to check my work. If it is critical that your work is tack sharp upon returning from a shoot, I recommend you spend the small amount of cash this thing costs and add this tool to your arsenal. Having trouble seeing your display in sunny or brightly lit conditions? This unit is perfect for that too. The adhesive that attaches the metal mounting ring to the camera body could be a little stronger. Conversely, I'd have no issues taking the strip off my Canon body and moving it to another body as there would be no residue or damage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like using a loupe with a view camera Many point and shoot cameras have led backs that are impossible to see in bright light. This makes picture composition iffy at best. If your subject moves it becomes a disaster. Trying to hold, compose, and centering the camera often does not work. The Elvid gives you a shot at getting the best shot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Price and Product for its design. My wife was/is a great photographer, but she now has macular degeneration. Without the help that this product gives to view the LCD, she wouldn't be able to pursue photography. It is really a tremendous help for the sight impaired to be able to continue to pursue photography. Like others, my only negative response is the glue is NOT very good and does not hold. Otherwise my rating would be a 5 star.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OptiView 50 3.2 LCD Viewfinder by Elvid This is perfect for those bright sunny days were you can not see the LCD screen. Now I can see the screen without trying to find a dark shadow to view it under. I would recomend this to all photographers, DSL and point and shoot users.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Job for Less Money This does exactly what I need it to do: it helps me chimp my shots in broad daylight. It's very lightweight and hangs from a neck cord, so it's always right where I need it.
