If you're heading out for an action-packed day or you tend to be on the clumsy side, the 58mm Lens Rim from easyCover is designed to absorb shocks and accidental impacts along key areas of a camera lens. The Lens Rim consists of two silicone parts, a Lens Ring and a Lens Bumper. The Lens Ring is flexible and can securely fit over almost any lens barrel to provide an elevated surface that helps prevent damage along the sides of a lens. The Lens Bumper protects the front of a lens and is specifically designed to fit over lenses with a 58mm filter diameter.

Can this product be used with the lens cap?
Lens cap is no problem at all. You can still use that and protect the front when you are not shooting. But maybe you mean a lens hood? It is not compatible with a lens hood...

Does this cover affect the ability to quickly put filters on and off?
The bumper can be mounted atop filters, and also has filter threads on its outside to further mount filters to. If you mount filters on the lens before it, and wanted to swap them, it would require you remove the bumper also. A UV protection filter would be good to have on before the bumper because that is one you'd likely be leaving on all the time. If you were going to use temporary filters you could thereby easily mount them to the outside of the bumper.
