Boris FX Transfer Suite consists of the Transfer AE and Transfer FCP plug-ins. Transfer AE is an Adobe After Effects plug-in allowing seamless transfer of Avid Media Composer and Apple Final Cut Pro 7 program sequences to After Effects. Transfer AE preserves all aspects of an Avid or FCP project including edits, cuts, dissolves, and treatments. It also offers the ability to translate Boris Continuum Complete effects used in Avid or FCP projects to corresponding Continuum Complete effects in After Effects. Transfer AE is compatible with After Effects CC 2014, CC, CS6, CS5.5 / CS5, and CS4 for Mac and Windows. (CS4 requires an Intel-based Mac.)
Transfer FCP provides a set of two Final Cut Pro 7 plug-ins for transferring sequences between Final Cut and Avid Media Composer. One of the plug-ins exports Avid-compatible AAF format files from Final Cut to Avid, and the other imports AAF format files from Avid to Final Cut. Using Transfer FCP, Final Cut and Avid editors can exchange projects that include transitions, effects, image and time warps, 3rd-party effects, and keyframes. Avid's AMA architecture gives Avid users direct access to many popular QuickTime formats while Final Cut users can access Avid MXF files using Calibrated Software's Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OS X. Transfer FCP supports online and offline workflows.
