SWIT L-Series Overview

Use this S-8972 7.2V, 47Wh Lithium-Ion DV Battery with DC Output from SWIT to power a camera or another device compatible with the Sony L-Series NP-F770/970/960/950 battery. It can also power select components simultaneously using the built-in 7.2 VDC barrel output. A handy 4-level LED indicator gives you a quick view of the remaining power before using the battery.

Chare the S-8972 battery using the SWIT S-3602F Dual-Channel Charger or via the DC barrel port using the SWIT S-3010D Portable Charger.

A cinematographer friend recommended these workhorse batteries as my existing units began to fail as batteries will. I shoot many astral time lapses that require a solid battery to run the camera and monitor assist while in very remote locations. My time-lapses take approximately 5-6 hours to complete. And It's critical even in colder conditions that my batteries don't fail. These time lapses move on a gimble stabilizer for the duration. After borrowing my friends and testing them, I was shocked that I didn't use one capacity bar during the 6 hours of continuously shooting a frame every 18 seconds. Truly remarkable battery. So I bought them for my equipment arsenal. WEll done SWIT!

That will depend on the charger being uses, but with a standard charger it should take 4 hours or so to fulyl charge this battery from empty.

Can I attach this battery to a Shinobi monitor and run a cable from the battery into my BMPCC4K? Thanks

This battery does not have enough power to power both the monitor and the camera, but can power one at a time. If you would like to power both the camera and the monitor, we recommend using a V-mount battery.

No, sorry for the FS7, you need the SWIT S-8U63 Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery for Select Sony Cameras B&H # SWS8U63BS or the SWIT S-8U93 Sony BP-U Series DV Camcorder Battery B&H # SWS8U93. These are full featured with a power level, d-tap and USB ouput. NOTE: you must have this connector when being used on the FS7. SWIT D-Tap Male to Female 90 Angled Connector for S-8U63/8U93 Battery B&H # SWS7105.

This battery has a 2.1mm connection, which is an output to power other dummy batteries. IndiPro Tools makes a variety of options such as B&H # IN21NRSL for L-Series Batteries. This page has selection boxes for other options as well. https://bhpho.to/2J7g3KN
