The IR-1 Convolution Reverb from Waves is a plug-in that provides reverbs and ambiences based on some of the world's greatest venues. The attraction of convolution based reverbs is the accurate reproduction of natural acoustic spaces. Their chief drawback is the inability to control reverb parameters in the fashion offered by traditional artificial reverbs.
The IR-1 solves this dilemma by providing the ability to edit all the traditional reverb parameters, with classic parameters actually affecting the convolution, not just "filtering the result" to produce parameter changes. The plug-in comes with a library of over 100 impulse responses that recreate a mixture of real sonic environments and classic hardware devices.
