I have ordered lens caps elsewhere and the take forever and are always the wrong cap, with B&H it was the right cap the first time and arrived when it said it would.

I recently ordered these replacement caps from B&H for binoculars that were less than a year old. I was unable to find them directly from Swarovski. The order from B&H was easy enough. The caps were easy to install and work fine, but why did the originals break off so quickly in the first place? Will these do the same? Why spend $2500 for a pair of binoculars and have them come with such breakable caps?

I bought my binoculars a while ago and until recently used them sparingly. The are absolutely amazing and crystal clear. construction quality is top notch, except for the lens covers. Within a few weeks of using them, the rubber connector tore off on both of the covers. I decided it must have been something I did, because with something. this expensive they could not be made that poorly. I was wrong. I ordered these new covers. I used them one time, and then placed the binoculars on the counter overnight, and then next morning one had sheared itself off. The glass for these is amazing, but the accessories like these caps could not be made any more cheaply. l will have to use them as is and just keep them in my pocket from now on. don't waste your money on these replacements.
