Dracast LED1000 Pro Bi-Color Overview

The LED1000 Pro Bi-Color 3-Light Studio Kit with Gold Mount Battery Plates from Dracast is a powerful, AC/DC solution for photographers and videographers in the studio or on the road. The kit includes three LED1000 Bi-Color LED Panels, three light stands with individual cases, three multi-voltage power supplies, a set of 4-way barndoors, and a filter frame and filter kit for each light. Each light has a Gold mount battery plate.

At just 5.5 lb, the LED1000 Pro Bi-Color LED Light is a lightweight option for location work, interviews and small sets where color accuracy, control and flicker-free output are of major importance. Variable color temperature from 3200-5600K or anywhere in between means that you can quickly match the prevailing ambient or artificial light balance with a simple twist of a knob while others are still applying filters. Dimming is equally convenient via another knob that adjusts the light intensity from 100-0% with negligible color shift. The LED1000 outputs the hot light equivalent of 1000W but you won't have to be concerned about the talent's comfort - the panel runs barely warm to the touch. And the low electrical draw of just 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The LED1000's durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. The light can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100-240 VAC adapter or by the included Gold mount 12 VDC batteries. The included 4-way barndoors allow contouring and control of the LED1000's 45-degree beam angle.

Does anyone know how bright these are? Lumens? How do they compare to a 1K?
Asked by: Jeff
1 Foot candle = 1 Lumen per square foot 1 Foot Candle = 10.57 lux The photometrics tables can be converted 3800 lux/353 fc at 3.0' / 0.9 m = 3800 lux/353 lumens at 3' Using these formulas you can compare, but the results will not accurate as every lighting company uses different measuring equipment and different environents for testing.

question

I have a couple of these and I'm wondering what people are using for travel cases. Thoughts?
Asked by: Basil
Basil, we had custom flight-travel cases made for when the kit is flying. For local travel we use the bags that came with the lights. The stands go in a polyetheylene tube, also custom made. I am not sure where you are based, but we have several custom travel case manufactureres in Johannesburg, so you should too where you are based.Hope this helps. HenkPuma Video

question

How long does the battery last?
Asked by: Anonymous
It depends on the battery. All the batteries for any of our lights come in a variety of capacities. The basic formula is: One Watt-hour (Wh) powers one Watt for one hour.So for the LED1000 Pro (all versions), which pulls 60 Watts, if you had a V-mount battery that had 90 Wh, it would power the light for approximately 90 minutes at full brightness (more if the light was dimmed down at all). // Also, if there are any other technical or product related questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time at [email protected]
