Beginning with phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms, color fidelity, contrast, and resolution are all enhanced. Next, Carson employs extra-low-dispersion glass to correct for chromatic and spherical aberrations to enhance image clarity, and further increase contrast and color definition. They then apply their proprietary HD (high-definition) optical coating to fully multicoat the optical path to improve light transmission for bright, sharp images, especially in low-light conditions.
Rubberized black armor coating makes these 3D Binoculars rugged and shock resistant. The thumb grooves and texture hand-holds make for a pleasant, non-slip, ergonomic grip. The body is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed, making them waterproof and fogproof. The TD-042ED combines twist up eyecups with an extra-long eye relief, resulting in a great combination for the outdoor enthusiast.
