If you use DPA 4099 or 4097 microphones, it is good to know there are replacement parts for the microphone. In this case, the little rubber shock mounts. After lots of use, and sometimes abuse (my 4097 mics are used a great deal for car rigs for TV shows and get beat up in the process) the little shock mounts sometimes form a tear in the thin area. I keep a replacement set of the shock mounts in my travel rig so I can swap them out and keep working. It is an easy task.
