The Ziv Right Angle Viewfinder allows you to shoot at low or unique angles without bringing your eye down to the camera's viewfinder. Able to be placed in eight different click-stop positions, the viewfinder can rotate 360° for use at a variety of angles. An integrated diopter is controlled by rotating the viewfinder's barrel to focus your viewing area.

A two-position switch allows you to choose between 1.25x and 2.50x magnification, and a soft round eyecup works with either eye. Five different adapters are included to fit the viewfinder to a variety of Canon, Nikon, Pentax, and Leica cameras. A padded pouch with a hook-and-loop closure is included to protect the viewfinder when not in use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Save your knees Low angle shooting has always been a challenge for my 60+ year old knees. The Ziv Right Angle Viewfinder attachment has really helped. With or without a tripod I'm able to get the low-level shots I'm after without having to kneel or lie down. It slips easily onto and off of the eyepiece and even rotates left or right for both horizontal and vertical shots. My only concern is that I'd like it to fit more snugly onto the eyepiece. It hasn't fallen off during use but I find myself checking it frequently.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not For Me and Night Skies I really wanted this for just one thing - photographing the night skies. Since I've been working on that for several years now, it seemed this would be a good addition to my arsenal when I have the tripod at various levels for getting foreground, etc. But this was just impossible to use - too hard to look through and actually frame the image - kind of like looking through binoculars where you have to line your eye up just right to see around the edges. I know it has other uses - like ground-level macro, sneaky candids, but it just wasn't for me. Actually, the eyepiece converter was really tight to get off and on - I suppose that will loosen up after wear but I had to use a tool to slide it off my Canon 5DIII eyepiece. I think it's an OK product but it just wasn't for me - I ended up returning it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful viewfinder for different camera aims The viewfinder comes with four clips, one of which will fit the camera after you remove the eyepiece. I bought it to take pictures of stars and the sun, which are otherwise difficult to aim. (Yes, I used a neutral density of 5 for the sun pictures. I expect it to be useful for taking closeup macro pictures. Note that the viewfinder usually leaves the clip behind unless you hold it when you remove the viewfinder. So it is not a quick on-off appliance, but it does the job as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superdooper I was gona send it back until I realized that the return shipping from Canada was 50% of the price.. so I worked with it and it turns out I find it extremely useful. It allows for low angle shots without kneeling ( I'm older and before this purchase I just didn't take low angle shots. I use it for human and vehicle portraits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Right Viewer, the right tool for low angle shooting I purchased the Ziv to use with a 10-22mm wide angle zoom for an upcoming classic car show. Being able to get great low angle three-quarter shots without kneeling or squatting allowed me to work faster. Also very economical compared to other brands I considered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice addition to my Pentax KD500Super kit This is really a nice addition to my accessories. I shoot a pentax kd500super, which is older but shoots great pics and nice bokeh so i'm not changing. I don't kneed video so a newer body give a bit more in pixels but not enough to warrant upgrades. The mount for the viewfinder for pentax didn't fit the kd500super but the NIKON did and fits well so that's what I'm using. The adapter for the pentax must be for newer DLSR models. I was worried I would need to return but once I tried the Nikon that was the same shape as the pentax everything worked perfectly! I like the ability to hold the camera at right angles and that it rotates. I can see this will be a valuable adddition to what I carry with me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect solution This was bought for use with a Nikon D3300 attached to an astronomical telescope. At some higher orientations of the telescope, it was impossible to position my eye to check the focus in the viewfinder. The Right Angle finder attaches easily and swivels 360 degrees, allowing a comfortable and excellent view of the camera viewfinder no matter where the telescope is pointing. Focusing is now a cinch!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not compatible with Canon 5Dmiii This was not compatible with Canon 5Dmiii with any of the included adaptors. Returned and purchased actual Canon version.
