Interfit INT502 overview

  • 1Description

The F5 Two-Head Fluorescent Lighting Kit from Interfit is a versatile photo or video lighting solution for portraits, products, or e-commerce in the studio or on the road. The kit includes two F5 five-lamp fixtures, each with a 19.7 x 27.5" softbox, 7.5' light stand, and five daylight-balanced compact fluorescent lamps.

The F5 head has a sturdy but lightweight polycarbonate construction with five Edison base sockets. Power can be regulated via three toggles on the unit's back panel that power on/off two lamps per switch and produce the tungsten equivalent of up to 800W. The lamp head has a tilting adapter with an industry-standard receiver for mounting on stands with a 5/8" top stud. It's also conveniently designed to mount directly to the included 19.7 x 27.5" softboxes without using a speed ring. The kit is rounded out by two four-section 7.5' air-cushioned light stands that support up to 8 lb each and fold down to 27" for storage and transport.

F5 Two-Head Fluorescent Lighting Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product gets 5 stars, instruction manual gets 2 stars I'm using this lighting kit for a small studio tabletop. There are 5 bulbs in each lamp, so I have plenty of light. The color temperature is a soft white and is very uniform. I was pleasantly surprised to see that for this price, the equipment is sturdy. I had difficulty setting up the soft boxes, and the instructions that were included were of little help. Once I figured out how to set up the first soft box, the second one was no problem. There is also a spare diffuser cloth included, but the 'instructions' don't say hot to use it. Anyway, I would recommend this product to those looking for studio lighting at a reasonable price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good lighting at this price point These boxes throw good lighting and are easy to adjust once assembled. I have found them to be well balanced and not at all tippy. The only drawback that I have found thus far is that setup and breakdown is a slow and laborious process with the screw-in fluorescent bulbs, and not something that you can just pull out quickly when needed. With that being understood, this is a very good product at this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lights good price I got these to photograph my art work, most are oil paintings. The diffused light works well on the very reflective paint. Glare is problem when photographing painting these lights are what I've been looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These lights are an excellent value These lights are high quality, particularly relative to the price. It seems like $200, whoa, for buying a single purpose pair of lights. Then I realize what marginal quality you get for $80 for regular living room lighting, per lamp. And this is a pack of two, with lots of parts and 5 good quality bulbs each, and a carrying case. The plastic parts are that very sturdy non-wimpy plastic. The screws are metal and fit well. It was well packed. It went together well. And it does what it says! I'm having a hard time finding fault.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What I Needed This product is awesome easy to set up, very professional, the soft light looks great on camera. I would recommend this product for professionals and first time users especially if you're working on a budget the price isn't that bad for the results

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality for the price These lights are perfect for a small studio. We use them for product shots for our website. They have 3 power settings and are easily adjustable. Looks more expensive then they are

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good lights with reasonable price very bright, and you can adjust light power in 3 steps. easy to assemble, easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for the money The light is perfect temperature and has worked through several 20-minute interviews for me. They're also strong enough for portraiture at the same distance you see in my photo, which turned out to be 1/100 sec @ f/3.5 @ 400 ISO. You can nicely modify that by turning off some of the bulbs, instead of having everything on-or-off, there's a range of light strength. The build construction of the heads is firm plastic, the stands so-so, but it's like AlienBees quality. It'll be fine for years. You'll get your money's worth. The only difficulty of these lights is storage and transport on location. I keep everything in the original cardboard box, including the bulbs. I don't need a stand bag, but I need some sort of bag to handle the heads and all the light bulbs. But this shouldn't stop you from buying this kit, especially if they're just going to sit in a studio.
