I bought this item because the B&H website pictures show that it has a C14 plug inlet instead of an attached cord. The item I received has an attached 5-15 plug. I'm guessing the manufacturer updated their design.

Does the space between outlets allow for your typical wall wart, External HDD Power Supply??
Asked by: Roger
The spacing of outlets on this device will accommodate standard Edison connectors. Large wall warts will take up more space than one outlet.

IS there enough space to handle Wall Wart type power supplies?
Asked by: Roger
The receptacles are pretty close to each other so you really can not load it up with wall warts. Pyle does make a rack mounted power strip that does have room: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1011785-REG/pyle_pro_pdbc5019_rack_mountable_power.html

do this package come with rackmount kit? does it fit 19' rack unit?
Asked by: Tao
These are incredibly handy. Wonderful for studio equipment that is rack mounted, but no power button on the front. It comes with fairly cheap, and somewhat erroneously measured rack ears, but bottomline, they are rack-mountable. You might have to file a hair of extra clearance from the rack ear mounting holes.

how many joules?
Asked by: Anonymous
I don't think this is designed to be a surge suppressor. at least I don't use it as such. it's only a way to distribute power and be able to turn on or off the components in a rack system .as you need them

question

Is this a surge suppressor as the name SURGE9 implies or just a power strip?
Asked by: Steve
It has a 15 A fuse, not a resettable breaker. Not sure if it offers any surge protection.
