This pair of Denon DN-304S 4" Desktop Speakers is suitable for media playback in editing rooms, business conferences, classroom A/V applications, and more. It utilizes of two MDF speaker cabinets to reduce distortion and absorb vibrations. Each speaker contains a 4" polypropylene-coated woofer and a 1" ferrofluid-cooled tweeter, both of which have been mounted to a proprietary waveguide in order to control dispersion; this results in satisfactory coverage throughout the listening area. A rear-ported bass reflex design allows for an extended low frequency response issuing from the back of the enclosure, thereby keeping the front-facing mid- and high-range frequencies relatively unimpeded.
The left speaker houses the system's stereo amplifier, rated at 20W per channel and offering Class A/B architecture to provide headroom. The speakers provide input connections for a 3.5mm cable, allowing you to quickly connect auxiliary audio sources, while a headphone output provides a private listening directly from the enclosure. In the rear of the unit are RCA inputs for sound sources, as well as speaker wire terminals for connecting the pair of monitors to each other.
