The Lunt Solar Systems Calcium-K Module Kit was designed specifically for the LS152THa H-alpha dedicated solar telescope to give users the ability to view or image CaK wavelengths, with the added benefit of being able to use OTA as a conventional astronomical night-sky telescope. The CaK module installs easily and quickly without tools for more flexibility and variety during observation sessions.
In addition to the CaK module, the kit includes a Crayford-style focuser that replaces the stock rack-and-pinion focuser that comes when the OTA is shipped. The module installs by simply unscrewing the three thumbscrews that hold the H-alpha unit and stock focuser to the back of the LS152 OTA, and mounting the Crayford focuser and CaK module. With the Crayford focuser installed, just remove the CaK module, insert a standard diagonal, and the scope can be used as a normal astronomical night-sky telescope.
