Print from nearly anywhere in your home or small office with the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity of the imageCLASS LBP6030w Monochrome Laser Printer from Canon. It offers a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi that uses Canon's laser printing technology to produce an equivalent to 2400 x 600 dpi for detailed documents. Also, the unit is quite fast with a print speed of 19 ppm and a first print out time of <8 seconds. Additionally, the wireless connectivity enables printing directly from a mobile device using the Canon Mobile Printing app.

A 150-sheet input tray handles documents from 3.0 x 7.4" up to 8.5 x 14" and it has a rated monthly duty cycle of 5,000 pages. In addition to the wireless connectivity, the printer does have a standard USB 2.0 connection.

Have used this printer for several yrs and travel with. It has always worked great, no issues, even when I got a new laptop it still connected and works great.

When I received this printer it has a part to put on it somewhere and I cannot find where it goes. It says it was supposed to come with a disk and it did not. Now I am trying to find how to do that wirelessly and that is like trying to find Waldo! I am getting frustrated because this is the second computer I will have to return within a week of each other.

The Canon imageCLASS LBP6030w Monochrome Laser Printer is only a printer and cannot scan. It does not have USB direct to print directly from a USB memory device.

How can I print double-sided from my Mac? Do I need to do so manually? If so, how?

The Canon imageCLASS LBP6030w Monochrome Laser Printer BH #CALBP6030W does not support duplex printing (automatic double sided printing). You would have to do it manually. First you print the first page, insert the paper again with the text facing up. It will then print on the other side of the paper.

Do I need to download the program, or is the usb cable enough?

It depends on the OS. Some operating system may already have the driver, some may not. For instance, on Ubuntu I had to download the driver from the Canon's site and install it. After that I don't even need the WiFi as CUPS automatically makes the printer available over the network. Also Android supports CUPS out of the box, so in Google Drive I open a document and print it right away without installing any additional software.

It is AirPrint compatible. You will need to download the Canon Mobile Printing App to your iPad that you can download for free from the iTunes store.

This isn't a question but I feel the need to comment on the reviews who are having problems using this with Macs. I have a Mac and am having no problem at all. You might need to go to Canon's site and download software. I knew to do so and did it automatically. Give it a try?
