The Point Source Audio CM-iX Headset Microphone Assembly with Earphone Installation Tool and XLR-4M Connector for RTS Mono Systems is a modular intercom headset assembly designed for concert venues, front of house operations, multimedia production, and other professional trades that rely on convenient two-way communication systems. The headset requires the installation of user-selected earphones (not included) and allows for three different listening modes. Instead of having to remove the entire headset to check sounds in the environment, the user can simply remove one or both of the earphones.
For modularity, the headset comes equipped with a microphone, as well as a tool for installing a pair of user-selected earphones. The earphones slide into the channel around the neckpiece of the headset, and the cable is secured using the included tool. Allowing the user to install his or her preferred earphones allows for the sound signature of the headset to be customized, and also extends the serviceability and lifetime of the product. The headset has a boom moving-coil dynamic element with a cardioid pattern and a frequency response of 300 to 10,000 Hz.
