The Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi Distortion/Overdrive Pedal from Electro-Harmonix captures the essence of the warm sound unique to the germanium transistors of the '60s. The Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi consists of two independent circuits: one distortion and one overdrive, each with completely independent controls. These circuits can be used separately or together. Each has its own independent On/Off bypass footswitch.

This pedal features four knobs on the Overdrive side (Volume, Tone, Bias, Gain) and four knobs on the Distortion side (Volume, Volts, Bias, Gain). The Gain knob adjusts the amount of pre-amp gain. The Bias knob adjusts distortion character. The Volume knob controls output level. The Tone knob controls tone. The Volts knob adjusts the amount of voltage supplied to the distortion side only.
