The Roku 2 is capable of playing 720p HD and 1080p Full HD video via HDMI; an HDMI cable is sold separately. Aside from its HDMI output, the Roku 2 offers dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Ethernet, and USB connectivity. It is also equipped with a microSD slot for expanded storage. The free Roku App allows you to control the Roku 2 from smartphones and tablets. You can also wirelessly mirror and share content with compatible devices for seamless multimedia playback. At just 3.5" wide and 1" high, the Roku 2 has a small footprint, allowing easy placement.

Roku Search makes it easy to see what's on, where you can watch it for free or with a subscription, or how much the different channels charge to rent or buy. Search by actor, title, or director using your remote. You can also use your smartphone with the free Roku app and search using your voice or with a virtual keyboard.

With the Roku Feed, you can know when new movies are ready to stream, what channel they're on, and how much they cost.
Choice of Control
Control the Roku 2 with the included remote or install the free app and use your compatible smartphone or tablet. The free Roku app lets you control your Roku player from your phone or tablet with the same easy-to-use buttons you'll find on the standard Roku remote, including play/pause, forward/back, instant replay, and the option buttons. Plus, if you prefer typing over swiping, the Roku app also includes a virtual keyboard. The app is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices.
