Yes, if you purchase the correct mount you should be able to place your iPhone to this tripod. This product uses the standard Mic stand threading, so really most iPhone mount adapter would work.

I've been using 2 of these for over 16 years, each with 2-414's on a bar at approx. 13'. In all that time, I've only had one time where the sections on one stand collapsed and the mics/bar came down but didn't harm the mics. I had them in secure baskets and the stand was weighted down to avoid toppling over. I trust the stands and never hesitate to use them.

This stand is intended for use with 1-2 studio microphones and their respective mounting hardware. It should stabilly should hold 2-3 lbs of mics and equipment, although if any slipping occurs, it is not recommended to fully extend the boom.
