I had actually wanted an old style cover for my camera, the kind that screws into the tripod socket. The very nice leather version was too small to accomodate my camera with a 85mm lens. I reluctantly went for the Zing, I didn't like that it wouldn't attach to the camera. The sales person who assisted me and I found it� difficult at first to get it onto the camera. But once on it seemed a good protection against rain and abrasion. But it still wouldn't protect the camera if you dropped it. It's stretchy and fits all kinds of bigger lenses. After taking my camera in and out of it a couple of times I got the hang of it. I roll it up and put it into my coat pocket when I use the camera. It does its job and was inexpensive. I grew to love it.

Pros: Lightweight, durable stitching, great for light protection and grab and go activities like walking, hiking or a scenic drive when you don't want the burden of carrying a large bag or digging into a larger bag. Nice snug fit. Great fit for my Pentax KR with a DA* 1.4 limited, would also fit the Nikon D3100 or other simular Large SLR's. Cons: Not quite as quick on the draw when used as shown. The intended way of putting the camera in the cover, is to first put the lens in and then wrap the remainder of the cover around the body. However I have found that if you put the body in first then pull the cover over the lens, all one has to do is pull the lens cover down to take the shot. This simple remedy makes the cover much improved. i would like to see a similar cover with a screw in attachment on the bottom. Overall outstanding cover for the cost. Nice light protection with easy accessibility.

Will this work with a Nikon (Z5) with 24-70mm zoom?

The Zing Designs Large SLR Action Cover is too small to hold the Z5 and the 24-70mm f/2.8 lens; it might hold the Z5 and the 24-70mm f/4 lens, but it would be a tight fit.
